Presenting ... Spero (waag_aa001_1-4) by Simon Slator

“Spero (waag_aa001_1-4)” is the first of four pieces by Simon Slator that are designed for the season of Advent. The four soundscapes that make up this first “Ambient Advent” collection  are intended for contemplation and meditation during this busy period.

Advent is synonymous with new beginnings, with the commencement or start of new things. Regardless of how you celebrate this holiday period, my wish is that the music Simon Slator has created will bring something new to you.

This series is brought to you in conjunction with Slator’s new endeavour - a netlabel called “Dischi Senza Parole” - which is loosely translated as “wordless records”. All funds raised will be passed to him to help seed his work.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

Call for Submissions: "...ending the year on a high 2014"

It's that time of the year again ... where I look to curate a compilation of the very best in independent electronic music from folks connected with weareallghosts - either artists or supporters.

A number of folks have already asked about submissions ... so here's what I'm looking for: 1 or 2 tracks ... .wav format ... no longer than 15mins in duration ... in the Electronic / IDM / Ambient / Experimental vein ... ideally unreleased but willing to overlook if it is the *right* track. In fact, any track if it's the *right* track.

Previous compilations have been released for FREE but with this compilation I'm going to try something a bit different. I am going to levy a small charge for the album ... this will be a minimum price with ALL PROCEEDS going to HOSPICE UK (http://www.hospiceuk.org), a charity that supports the development of hospice care in the UK and internationally.

weareallghosts is my main side-project and something I do for the love of it. My main employment is as a Business Analyst in Glasgow, Scotland; my current employer actively and generously supports HOSPICE UK and doubles any donation made by her staff - by donating for this album I will hopefully be able to raise some money for a really great cause and give a little good back into the world.

If you are willing to submit a track, can you send a LINK to your track (via Dropbox or WeTransfer) to ...

weareallghosts (dot) netlabel (at) gmail (dot) com

Please do NOT share a Dropbox folder with me ... unless you already share a folder with me.

If you want to know more about these compilations ... have a wee listen to the previous editions below:

Presenting ... drone.excursion.006 (waag_dex006) by Scott Lawlor

“Let no two drones be alike must be Scott's motto....at least thus far. Each drone excursion is markedly different from all others.”

So says Brian Bourassa in a comment on Bandcamp. I cannot agree more and with the belated 6th instalment in his drone.excursion series, Scott Lawlor proves, if proof be really needed, this point.

“Unquiet Spirits Crossing the Rubicon” is a deeply immersive, full-on longform piece; one that paints mind-pictures of wide, desolate spaces interspersed with the Cyclopean architecture of another age.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

I hope you will enjoy drone.excursion.006 as much as I have.

Presenting ... Dronescape 022 (waag_drs022) by Cousin Silas

It has been a busy wee while of late and this week was no exception. When I’m tired I turn to the dronescapes of Cousin Silas - they give me respite, they provide a place to go when all I want to do is turn off the world for an hour and relax.

The latest instalment in the dronescape series - the twenty-second instalment in fact - is a marvellous example of this. It’s rich, luscious tone is a balm to my weary soul. It engulfs me with the delightfully paradoxical feeling of the new familiar. It is new and yet it is familiar, and it is exactly what I need right now.

I hope you enjoy Dronescape 022 as much as I do.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available here for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

Enjoy 022.

Presenting ... Modified by Inertia (waag_rmx002) by Christopher Alvarado

Back in 27 May 2014 waag release “Creation By Inertia (waag_rel052)” by Christopher Alvarado … an album I consider a remarkable recording and one I was proud to release on weareallghosts.

I am extremely grateful to Christopher Alvarado for the opportunity to release “Modified by Inertia (waag_rmx002)”, a series of remixes of tracks from the original album along with a brand new track from Alvarado entitled “An Eternity of Eyes”.

The remixes themselves demonstrate the broad church that is our ambient music scene: from Silentport’s Stirring In the Forever mix of “I Can't Take Time” with the infectious vocals of Lory Fayer to the ambience of M.Nomized’s Sankirtana mix of "Respiration" and the serenity of William Spivey’s Deep Sink mix of "Whirlpool in Reality"; we have a feast of new music. We also have wonderfully unique and creative mixes from some talented musicians - Delicate Apparatus, Ade Hodges, Symatic Star, and Mystified - to feed our ears and inspire our waking hours.

This is an album to get lost in, one that works well on it’s own but sounds fantastic when queued with “Creation By Inertia (waag_rel052)” - play the original then the remix, as the mighty Rebekkah Hilgraves did recently on her Stillstream show, and you’ll hear what I mean.

I really do hope you will get lost in "Modified By Inertia (waag_rmx002)"!

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0 ... and remember, paying supporters on Bandcamp also get unlimited mobile access to the album using the free Bandcamp listening app.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.
